MAPPING IMMERSION

Thursdays in April, May and June (2-4pm EST)
Price: $400 full program ($35 per session)
Early Bird Price: $300 thru 3/15

Maps are frameworks that provide insight into the energies, patterns and cycles that shape both our inner worlds and the structure of the universe at large, offering a bridge to connect the personal to the archetypal, the individual to the cosmic. Maps can be road maps, charts, clocks, bodies, mathematical sequences, systems and grids of all kinds that offer routes for our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual journeys. Maps help us find ourselves, as we make our way through the complicated, dimensional, challenging, always changing trajectory of our lives. For life is not linear, it is a matrix of a myriad of experiences, through time, which map each of us as significant.

Join us this spring for an exploration of the many archetypal maps that support us in unlocking deeper truths about ourselves, while aligning us with natural rhythms and the cycles of all existence.

THE MAGIC SQUARE (Thursday April 3rd)
with
Abbie Galvin

The Magic Square is a map of space. We use this spatial map to explore personal potential and by virtue of our imaginative movement through the 9 squares we create a route of individual destiny. This esoteric traversal of the territory elicits an exploration of our depths, our capacities and our imagination, enabling us to become more integrated physically, emotionally and psychically over time.

THE FIVE ELEMENTS (Thursday April 10th)
with
Ty Watson

The five elements can be both metaphor and map. Looking at each element and their relationship to each other, gives us a way to understand our yoga practice, our circumstances and even parts of ourselves. In this session we will cover each element as its own system of tastes, sounds, characteristics and associations and how it might affect and alter our practice.

THE THREE DOSHAS (Thursday April 17th)
with
Kari Harendorf

The fundamental elements form the foundation of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. In this session we will explore how these energies manifest in the body-mind, in order to understand their specific functions and influences on physical and mental health. Through an understanding of the Ayurvedic map of the doshas and the energetic blueprint we will discuss practical tools to harmonize the body and mind using diet, lifestyle and daily practices.

THE SEVEN CHAKRAS (Thursday April 24th)
with
Chase Connolly

The chakra system is an embodied map detailing the manifestation of the universe. Being housed within the body, it conveys the potency of yogic practice's ability to usher us into the experience of our body as the universe. We will cover three different chakra maps, how they build upon one another to give us a framework for cultivating personal power and insight into Reality.

THE FENG SHUI BAGUA (Thursday May 1st)
with
Kyle Freeman

Home is a mirror to our internal landscape. In this session we will explore the magic square in the context of feng shui using the btb school bagua map. This map can be placed over a floor plan to illuminate ways in which our internal patterning is materializing externally. Additionally, it offers an opportunity to adjust our environment to align with our conscious intentions.

THE TWELVE SIGNS (Thursday May 8th)
with Sophia Campana

The twelve signs of the zodiac represent the twelve archetypal phases of our evolutionary development, each with their own unique energetic signature. In this session we will explore the elemental energetics of each sign, then put them all together, so that we may begin to perceive the zodiac wheel as a metaphor for the cycle of time that can be used to map a day, a season, a year, a life.

THE ASTROLOGICAL BIRTH CHART (Thursday May 15th)
with Sophia Campana

The astrological birth chart is a snap shot of the sky at the moment of our physical incarnation. This planetary map lays out the energetics imprinted upon us at birth, acting as a mirror into the workings of our individual psyche and the direction of our soul. In this session we will breakdown the components of this archetypal map, exploring the planets, signs and houses as the puzzle pieces that make up the unique framework of our individual blueprint.

MAPPING NEUROLOGY (Thursday May 22nd)
with
Ally Bogard

The mind is complex, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. Through a high level understanding of the different parts of the brain, we are able to methodologically map the mind to create more emotional order, choice and creativity. This session will include discussion, somatic practice and some visual and contemplative practices with space for a lot of Q & A to make the practice relevant to your life experiences.

THE I CHING (Thursday May 29th)
with
Chris Chen

The I Ching, translated as the Book of Changes, is an ancient Taoist text that serves as a philosophical taxonomy of the universe. This session will offer a Taoist foundational perspective on the 8 trigrams. From understanding the 8 trigrams of the Bagua, we will gain greater awareness and understanding on how to interpret the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. No specific text is required, however if you own a copy of the I Ching, bring it with you to the session.

HUMAN DESIGN + GENE KEYS (Thursday June 5th)
with Sophia Campana

Human Design and Gene Keys are two interrelated systems that combine astrology with the I Ching to offer us unique maps for energetic alignment and personal transformation. In this session we will explore Human Design as a practical blueprint for understanding our energy type, decision-making and life strategy and Gene Keys as a contemplative sequence focused on transmuting our shadows into their higher spiritual potential through self-reflection.

MAPPING DREAMS (Thursday June 12th)
with
Jason Bacasa

The unconscious speaks in symbols, sensations and stories waiting to be mapped. This session will explore how imagery, emotions, and synchronicities reveal deeper layers of meaning, guiding us toward self-discovery. Working with tools to chart the landscape of our dreams and unconscious worlds, we will develop a personalized approach to engaging with the inner world in order to see, feel and navigate it with clarity.

MAPPING BREATH (Thursday June 19th)
with
Ty Watson

In order to understand the breath, we need to speak its language. In this session we will divide up the breath into parts, techniques, myths and metaphors. We will take on bite-sized breathing practices to work on individual techniques, introducing theory and narrative to overlay onto our breath work practice so that our breathing is held as much by the imagination, as it is by the lungs.

THE BODY AS A MAP (Thursday June 25th)
with
Abbie Galvin

Reading the body as a map is a way to re-direct a life by looking at the body as a template of space and time. Our front, back, right, left, above and below set up our center as the physical vessel to house what lives inside of each of us... our implicit interior; our hopes and dreams, our determination, faith, love and all the insights from our myriad self-cultivation practices that feed and support our personal growth.
